Dallas y Fort Worth no reciben mensajes de texto al 911

Tras la persecución de una RV que era conducida por un hombre que baleó a una mujer que se comunicó al 911 a través de mensajes de texto para pedir auxilio, muchos residentes no sabían de este servicio.

Muchas ciudades y condados del Metroplex cuentan con este sistema, pero Dallas, Fort Worth y Arlington, las ciudades más importantes, no cuentan con este servicio.

Aquí la lista:

  • Dallas County (ciudad de Dallas) = NO Pero Cockrell Hill PD, Balch Springs PD, Seagoville PD, Sachse PD y Wilmer PD si cuentan con el servicio.
  • Tarrant County = NO, ninguna ciudad cuenta con el servicio, ni Fort Worth ni Arlington.
  • Collin County = SI, Frisco PD y Prosper PD si cuentan con el servicio.
  • Rockwall County = SI Rockwall PD y Rockwall SO si cuentan con el servicio.
  • Denton County = SI Carrollton PD, Denton PD, Denton County SO, UNT PD, TWU Dept of Public Safety, Lake Dallas PD, Highland Village PD, The Colony PD, Lewisville PD, Trophy Club PD, Roanoke PD y Flower Mound PD si cuentan con el servicio.   
  • Hunt County = SI Greenville PD y Hunt County SO si cuentan con el servicio.
  • Wise County = SI Wise County SO si cuentan con el servicio
  • Johnson County = SI Johnson County ESD y Johnson County SO si cuentan con el servicio
  • Erath County = SI Dublin PD, Stephenville PD y Erath County SO si cuentan con el servicio
  • Parker County = SI Springtown PD, Weatherford PD y Parker County SO si cuentan con el servicio
  • Ellis County = SI Ennis PD, Red Oak PD, ellis County SO si cuentan con el servicio
