Despiden a otros dos oficiales de la policía de Dallas

El pasado martes, la Jefa de Policía de Dallas, U. Reneé Hall despidió a dos oficiales y hoy, anunció que dos mayores fueron despedidos también tras sus audiencias este 1 de noviembre de 2018.

Una investigación de la oficina de Asunto Internos concluyó que entre el 7 y el 29 de octubre de 2017, la Mayor Latoya Porter estuvo involucrada en una conducta adversa y conflicto de intereses.

La investigación mostró que el 16 de noviembre de 2017, la Mayor Porter interfirió en la integridad de una investigación administrativa.

La Mayor Porter, quien pertenecía a la corporación desde febrero del 2004 y asignada a la Divisón Central del Norte, fue despedida por sus acciones.

Por otro lado, una investigación reveló que entre el 13 y 15 de octubre de 2017, la Mayor Paulette Richardson recibió regalos de subordinados. Además interfirió con la integridad de una investigación administrativa.

La Mayor Richardson, quien fue contratada en mayo de 1997 y asignada a la División Noroeste, fue despedida por sus acciones.

El rango de Mayor es considerado como un empleado exento. Por lo tanto, ninguno de los empleados tiene derecho a apelar su disciplina.

An Internal Affairs investigation concluded that between October 7, 2017 and October 29, 2017, Major LaToya Porter engaged in adverse conduct when she served as a subject matter expert for the City of Dallas Sergeant Assessment examination and provided sergeant assessment training through her private company for a fee.  The investigation also concluded that on October 18, 2017, Major Porter created a conflict of interest when she represented her client, a sergeant promotional candidate, in a Civil service matter.  In addition, the investigation also concluded that on November 16, 2017, Major Porter interfered with the integrity of an administrative investigation.
Major Porter was terminated for her actions.  She was hired in February 2004 and was assigned to the North Central Division.
An Internal Affairs investigation concluded that between October 13, 2017 and October 15, 2017, Major Paulette Richardson received a gift and/or gratuity from subordinate employees.  The investigation also concluded that on November 16, 2017, Major Richardson interfered with the integrity of an administrative investigation.
Major Richardson was terminated for her actions.  She was hired in May 1997 and was assigned to the Northwest Division.
The rank of Major is considered as an exempt employee.  Therefore, neither employee have the right to appeal theidiscipline
